Neil Coulson
About: Hi
I'm an Associate Professor in Health Psychology at the University of Nottingham, UK. My interests focus on the role of the internet in living with long-term illness. More specifically, I have been exploring the role of online support groups (i.e. virtual communities) across a range of illnesses (e.g. HIV/AIDS, diabetes, prostate cancer, Huntington's disease, infertility). I also have a broader interest in how patients use the Internet in the self-management of illness as well as the reaction of health professionals to this growing trend.
